Perivale Park Golf Club hosts free women’s event

A Hanwell golf club is hoping to encourage more women in Ealing to take up the sport by hosting a free beginners’ session next month.

Perivale Park Golf Club, now based at Brent Valley Golf & Fitness Centre after Ealing Council redeveloped its former Perivale course into Pear Tree Park, is holding a ladies open day on 27 June from 2pm.

The event is aimed at women who have never played golf before, as well as those who may be thinking about getting back into the game after a break.

Those attending will be able to try out chipping and putting, get some basic coaching and meet members of the club’s ladies section in a relaxed and friendly setting. Golf clubs and equipment will be provided, along with refreshments.

Marie O’Gorman, club captain at Perivale Park Golf Club, said: “We have a thriving and very friendly ladies section and we’re keen to welcome more women into the game. Whether you’ve never picked up a golf club before or you’ve played a little in the past, you’ll be made very welcome.”

Anyone interested in attending is asked to register by emailing ppgolfclub1@gmail.com
