Ealing’s Clifton Lodge School has been praised by inspectors after a recent report highlighted the school’s teaching, pastoral care and support for pupils.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which visited the Mattock Lane prep school between 3 and 5 March 2026, found it was meeting all required standards across areas including leadership, safeguarding, education and pupil wellbeing.
Founded in the early 1980s, Clifton Lodge provides education from nursery through to Year 6 and became part of Blenheim Schools in February 2026.
The school was praised for the way lessons are tailored to individual pupils, while inspectors also highlighted the strong focus on reading and communication throughout the school.
Inspectors said Clifton Lodge pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence and described children as being well prepared for the next stage of their education and highlighted the school’s extracurricular activities and early years provision, which was described as a “calm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment”.
The report also praised relationships between staff and pupils, saying children feel “safe, known and valued” at the school.

It is fantastic that inspectors have recognised the quality of our teaching and the warm, nurturing environment we provide.”
