A new community organisation aimed at offering support before problems reach crisis point is launching in Acton later this month.
Help Helps CIC will officially launch on 22 May 2026 at Acton Gardens Community Centre, with local residents, charities and community groups invited to attend the free event.
The organisation has been set up to provide early intervention support through its “Early Reach” programme, helping people facing concerns around safeguarding, domestic abuse, exploitation and emotional wellbeing.
The service will also offer out-of-hours appointments, with organisers saying support is often hardest to access during evenings and weekends.
The launch event will include a safeguarding session from a guest speaker, offering practical advice on recognising early warning signs and protecting vulnerable people.
Help Helps CIC founder Sadia Shazad said the project was created because “waiting lists are often too long and services are stretched thin”.
She added: “We want people to see they do not have to face uncertainty alone.”
The event runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm and is free to attend.
