What’s On at ActOne: April 2026 Highlights from Acton’s Community Cinema

In April 2026, we present another generous serving of films and events at ActOne Cinema. We are hosting special Q&As, live music events, and participating in the famous Acton Bunny Trail. The full list of all events and the evolving programme is regularly updated at ActOneCinema.co.uk

  • Project Hail Mary: A science teacher-turned-astronaut, Ryland Grace, is on a mission to save the Sun, and he gains a new best friend, Rocky.
  • Orwell 2+2=5: Raoul Peck’s timely take on how prophetic the visionary writer George Orwell was.
  • The Love That Remains: A tenderly captured year in the life of an Icelandic family as parents navigate their separation.
  • One Battle After Another: Winner of six Academy Awards, an epic screwball adventure of sweeping visual grandeur from Paul Thomas Anderson.
  • Sound of Falling: Four women, united by intergenerational trauma, uncover the truth behind the remote German farm’s walls.
  • Don’t Be Prey: To reclaim his life, one man confronts his depression by swimming across seven ocean channels.
  • Sentimental Value: Profoundly resonant family drama exploring human emotions and the tension between artistic expression and personal connection.
  • Arco: A French animated science fantasy about time travel, friendship, family and a seemingly idyllic future.
  • Hoppers: In Pixar’s latest, scientists have discovered how to ‘hop’ human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals.
  • Father Mother Sister Brother: Estranged siblings reunite after years apart, forced to confront unresolved tensions and reevaluate their strained relationships with their emotionally distant parents. Jim Jarmusch’s comedy-drama anthology.
  • The Stranger: Albert Camus’s classic of existential literature (L’Étranger) is brought thrillingly to life in the latest from French master François Ozon. Bringing a contemporary gaze to this enigmatic story of disaffection in 1930s French-colonised Algeria.
  • La Grazia: A sweeping exploration of love, duty, and personal freedom from Paolo Sorrentino.
  • Colours of Time: United by the unexpected inheritance of a house in Normandy, four estranged cousins discover their family history by retracing their ancestor’s steps.
  • Rebuilding: After wildfires destroy his ranch, a cowboy named Dusty winds up in a FEMA camp, finding community with others who lost homes, including his daughter and ex-wife.
  • DJ Ahmet: A 15-year-old boy from a remote village in North Macedonia finds refuge in music while navigating his father’s expectations, a conservative community, and his first experience with love, a girl already promised to someone else. Winner of the 2025 Sundance World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award and the Special Jury Award for Creative Vision
  • Primavera: An incredible feature debut from award-winning opera director Damiano Michieletto about Antonio Vivaldi and a 20-year-old violin virtuoso orphan, Cecilia.
  • Rose of Nevada: A mysterious boat returns to a village 30 years after vanishing. Two men join the crew, hoping for better fortune. After one voyage, they find themselves transported back in time and mistaken for the original crew.
  • California Schemin’: Two Scottish lads from Dundee conned the music industry by pretending to be an established Californian rap duo, bagging a record deal and appearing on MTV until their scam unravelled. TBC.
