Reform UK has told EALING.NEWS that it is “fully mobilised” for May’s local elections in Ealing, with voters due to go to the polls on 7 May 2026.
A total of 70 seats across the borough’s 24 wards are up for election.
Ealing Council is currently run by Labour, which has held control since 2010. The council is made up of 57 Labour councillors, alongside eight Liberal Democrats, four Conservatives and one independent.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Steve Chilcott, chair of Reform UK’s Ealing branch, said the party intends to stand candidates across the borough.
He said: “As the campaign gets underway, Ealing Reform UK is fully mobilised for the 7 May local elections across the Borough of Ealing. We are proud that every voter in the borough will have the opportunity to vote for Reform UK and for genuine change — not the hollow promises offered by the current incumbents.”
He added: “Our candidates are local people with real lives and real experience of the issues facing our communities. Most have never been involved in politics before, and that is precisely their strength: they are standing to bring fresh voices, common sense, and honesty into local government.”
However, the party has yet to formally confirm any candidates.
With the nomination deadline approaching, parties and independents are finalising who will stand across Ealing. They have until 4pm on 9 April 2026 to submit their papers.
Ealing Council is due to publish the full list of candidates for each ward on 10 April 2026.
