Greenford pub to reopen in April after major revamp

Greenford’s Hare & Hounds is set to reopen next month (1 April 2026) following a three-week refurbishment that will see the pub relaunched under a new sports-focused concept.

The Marston’s venue, located at 229 Ruislip Road, Greenford, closed on 9 March for the works, which has seen more than £250,000 spent on improvements. When it reopens, the pub will operate as part of the company’s “Grandstand” concept, aimed at creating a stadium-style viewing experience for live sport.

Plans include the installation of more than 10 large HD screens, a new sound system and tiered seating. An updated outdoor area with additional screens is also being introduced, alongside a mobile “order and pay” service which the pub operators says will reduce time spent at the bar during busy fixtures.

A spokesperson said: “We’re so excited to show off the new and improved pub. With a calendar of sports up ahead, the Hare & Hounds will be the perfect destination to get involved in big event atmosphere and soak up the action, especially thanks to some amazing new technology, food and drink offers and events.”

As part of the relaunch, the Hare & Hounds is inviting residents to contribute local sporting memorabilia to display inside the pub, reflecting Greenford’s links to grassroots teams and athletes.

A new food and drink offer will include a “match day” menu of sharing dishes and traditional pub meals, while pool tables and dart boards will return with organised leagues and free-to-play sessions.
