A 35-year-old man from Ealing has been sent to prison for rape following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Andrew Collins of Beechwood Avenue, Ealing, was given an extended sentence at Reading Crown Court last week (22 January 2026). The term comprises 10 years in custody and a further three years on licence. He was also made subject to a sexual harm prevention order on his release.
Collins was convicted after a six-day trial at the same court in November 2025. A unanimous jury found him guilty of one count of vaginal rape of a woman. He was acquitted of one count of oral rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
The court heard that between 6pm and 7pm on 12 November 2024, CCTV footage showed Collins following the victim through Slough town centre. He later shared his contact details with her and arranged to meet again that evening. During that meeting, Collins supplied the woman with alcohol before raping her.
Collins was arrested on 19 November 2024 and charged the following day.
Detective Constable Cat Sykes, the investigating officer, said: “The victim in this case has shown immense bravery throughout this investigation and we thank her for her continued support, patience and the faith she has placed in the criminal justice system.”
She added: “Collins’ sentencing today is a testament to the commitment of Thames Valley Police to bring sexual offenders to justice and to make our streets a safe place for everyone.”
