Police and Ealing Council have removed vehicles from two housing estates in Southall as part of a joint operation targeting unlawful road use and cars linked to anti-social behaviour and the drug trade.
The joint action between Southall police in partnership with Ealing Council’s safer communities team focused on the Havelock and Golf Links estates.
According to police, its officers alongside Ealing Council staff identified and arranged for vehicles found to have no valid MOT, no road tax or no insurance to be towed away.
In a statement, Southall police said: “A key part of the operation was tackling cars suspected of being used in connection with drug-related anti-social behaviour. These vehicles often serve as magnets for criminal activity, causing nuisance and concern for the community. By removing them, the teams have effectively disrupted local criminal networks and removed physical infrastructure supporting illicit activities on the estates.
“This isn’t just about clearing space; it’s about reclaiming our public areas from those who undermine the safety and peace of our community.”
They added that working closely with Ealing Council allowed them “to use all available powers to deliver swift and visible results for the residents”.
