Pupils at St Augustine’s Priory shine with top A-level results

Ealing’s St Augustine’s Priory is celebrating another strong year of A-level success, with results surpassing last year’s performance. This year, 36% of grades were awarded at A*, 60% at A*-A, and 87% at A*-B.

Mrs Christine Macallister, headteacher, said: “We are all delighted with this year’s A Level results. The significant number of pupils achieving the highest possible grades is very well deserved. Our Year 13s have been a terrific year group, not only in academic terms, but in their commitment to school life and their service to the wider community. They have been a year group demonstrating great Augustinian character and values and we are so proud of them all.”

Two Mary Tredway academic scholars were recognised for their achievements. Sofia achieved all As in Mathematics, Biology and History, while Hannah matched her with As in History, Politics and Geography. Sofia said: “I couldn’t have done so well in my A Levels without the support from my teachers.”

Outgoing Head Girl Rachel said: “I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff and the students who have made my experience here so amazing and who have helped me achieve the results I got today to go off to my dream university, Durham.”

Subjects achieving 100% A* and A grades included Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Drama, Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Russian, Religious Studies, and the EPQ.

The Year 13 leavers will now move on to prestigious universities in the UK and overseas, including King’s College London, the London School of Economics, St Andrews, Exeter, University College London, Durham, and Bath, studying subjects from Electronic Engineering to Global Humanitarian Studies.
