With just nine months to go until the next Ealing local elections on 7 May 2026, the borough’s Liberal Democrats have unveiled their candidates for the Ealing Broadway ward, currently held by the Conservatives.
The newly selected trio – Francesco Fruzza, Adam Keenan and Mandy Lurie – will be aiming to turn the ward from blue to yellow when voters go to the polls on 7 May 2026.
In their commitments to voters, the three Lid Dems candidates have pledged stronger representation for residents, with a focus on tackling crime and improving safety across the borough.
Adam Keenan, a teacher, said: “If elected, I will work with Ealing’s growing number of Liberal Democrat councillors in campaigning against the closure of children centres, scrutinising proposals for unsustainable developments, fighting to protect our green spaces and finding workable solutions to London’s crime epidemic.”
Francesco Fruzza, a lifelong Ealing resident, emphasised his work in the community. He said: “I’ve lived here my whole life, raised my family here, and dedicated years to local organisations, from Age UK Ealing to the Pitshanger Area Forum.”
Mr Fruzza, who previously stood for the Liberal Democrats on several occasions, including the 2016 Ealing & Hillingdon London Assembly elections, added: “Ealing Broadway deserves a councillor who knows the community, cares deeply and will work tirelessly to keep it safe, green and thriving – and that’s exactly what I intend to do.”
Mandy Lurie, also standing in the ward, spoke of her priority around community safety. She said: “If elected as councillor, my priorities will be to make our streets safer and our community cleaner. I will work with the police and council services to improve street safety through better lighting, increased patrols and community safety initiatives, so that residents can feel secure walking through our neighbourhood at all hours.”
