The Metropolitan Police are appealing for information following the murder of a man believed to be 65-year-old Michael O’Donnell in Southall.
Officers launched a murder investigation after being called to Samara Drive in The Green Quarter at 10:56am on Wednesday (23 April 2025), where the body of a man was discovered. While formal identification has yet to take place, police say they are confident the deceased is Michael.

A 54-year-old man from Southall was arrested on suspicion of murder and preventing a lawful burial on the same day and remains in custody. A 28-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held by police.
Detectives are now appealing to the public for help in tracing Michael’s movements in the weeks before his death. Officers are particularly interested in sightings of him since 24 February 2025.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said: “Family liaison officers are supporting Michael’s family at this distressing time and my thoughts remain with them.
“We continue to work diligently to gather evidence and establish what led to Michael’s death and I would ask any local residents to take a careful look at these images to check whether they know him.
“Have you seen him since Monday, 24 February either alone or with anyone else?”
