Ealing Conservatives have confirmed the roles of their five councillors on Labour-run Ealing Council following this month’s (7 May 2026) local elections.
The party has allocated opposition spokesperson roles across a range of Ealing Council services, including housing, planning, transport, education and crime.
Councillor Julian Gallant (Ealing Broadway ward) remains as leader and will cover policy development, council services, prosperity and employment, transport and environmental issues.
Councillor Flora MacLoughlin (North Greenford ward) has been appointed deputy leader and will focus on health, wellbeing and housing.
Councillor Sean Hanrahan (Ealing Broadway ward) will act as the party’s whip and spokesperson for business, crime and safer communities, while Councillor Ajay Roy (North Greenford ward) has responsibility for finance and planning.
Councillor Kristian Mower (North Greenford ward) will lead on public realm, children and education matters.
Following the election, Labour remains the largest party on Ealing Council with 46 seats, down from 56. The Liberal Democrats increased their representation from eight to 13 councillors.
The Conservatives increased their representation from four to five seats, while the Green Party won representation on Ealing Council for the first time with five councillors. There is also one independent councillor.
