The Green Quarter Community Chest, a grant-making initiative from property developer Berkeley Group, has launched a new round of funding to back local groups, charities and social enterprises making a difference in Southall.
Over the next year, a total of £25,000 will be distributed to organisations working across priority areas including skills, training and employment; celebrating and protecting culture and heritage; supporting health and wellbeing; promoting sustainability and improving the local environment.
Funding is available both for specific projects and to cover operational costs.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Jags Sanghera, head of community engagement The Green Quarter, said: “Our Community Chest programme was created to support community organisations, social enterprises, and charities to deliver activities and services that directly benefit the local community; we have funded a range of exciting and impactful projects in previous years.”
Mr Sanghera added: “The Green Quarter’s independent community engagement steering group, made up of local residents, community organisations and stakeholders are also involved in the selection process this means that funding is allocated by the community, for the community. We hope to hear from as many groups and initiatives as possible this year.”
Submissions must outline how much funding is sought, details of the organisation, the services it provides locally, and how the money will be used. Applications will be assessed in two main rounds with support from The Green Quarter’s independent Community Engagement Steering Group (CESG).
The first deadline for applications is 29 September 2025, with a second round to take place in spring 2026.
