Residents to vote on local improvements

Ealing Council has allocated £480,000 for residents across the borough to vote on what changes and improvements they want to see across the seven town centres of Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall.

The move follows the council’s Your Voice, Your Town initiative which saw 1000 people attending local events that has helped shaped the priorities that the public can vote on for each town. Among the choices include better housing, green spaces, more community facilities and feeling safe.

Locals will be able to vote until 5 January 2025 at: www.dosomethinggood.org.uk/your-voice-your-town/

Councillor Blerina Hashani, the council’s cabinet member for thriving communities said: “You know best what change you want to see where you live. This is your chance to vote and influence where local funding, support and skills go in your town to make those improvements. Your Voice, Your Town is about communities making those decisions and being involved every step of the way with support from the council.”

Councvillor Hashani added: “We know people have busy lives, so by going out and meeting people where they are we want to make it easier and feel more comfortable for everyone to have their say. People can also vote online and we’d love to hear from anyone who wants to get more involved.”
