Metropolitan Police are appealing for information following the death of a 19-year-old man in Southall after his body was discovered in a canal alongside his motorbike.
Officers were called to the canal near Endsleigh Road, Southall, at around 11:25am on Bank Holiday Monday (26 May 2025), following reports of concerns for a man seen in the water. Emergency services attended, but Thomas Agathangelou was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family is being supported by specialist officers.
Detectives believe Thomas may have entered the canal the previous day and are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything on Sunday, 25 May, to come forward.
In a statement, Met Police said: “Thomas was located alongside his motorbike, and we are appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard anything on Sunday 25 May which may assist the enquiries.”
The Met Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the investigation and is urging the public to assist with any information.
