Firefighters tackle blaze on derelict canal boat in Greenford

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a boat fire near Greenford Road in Greenford on Thursday night (30 October 2025).

The London Fire Brigade said a derelict canal boat was completely destroyed in the blaze.  There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade received the first of seven calls about the incident at 8.58pm, prompting control officers to send crews from Southall, Ealing and Northolt fire stations. Firefighters brought the flames under control by 10.22pm.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
