Ealing’s University of West London (UWL) has been named Business Enabler of the Year at the West London Chambers of Commerce Business Awards.
The ceremony, held last week (21 November 2025) at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith, recognised businesses and organisations from across Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
The Business Enabler of the Year award is given to an organisation that supports other businesses to grow through innovation, partnerships and specialist services.
Suresh Gamlath, UWL’s pro vice-chancellor for business development and partnerships, said the award reflected work taking place across the institution. He said: “We are delighted to have won Business Enabler of the Year 2025. This category is highly competitive, and our goal was to win after being highly commended last year.”
The university also received a highly commended recognition in the Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Adrian Ellison, pro vice-chancellor for people and digital, said: “Our mission is to nurture talent in all its forms, regardless of social background, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability or any other protected characteristic; and to empower our people to be confident, leading career professionals where their wellbeing is supported.”
