Three new School Streets will start next Monday (12 January 2026) outside Fielding Primary School in Northfields, Twyford CofE High School in Acton and Notting Hill & Ealing School in Ealing, as Ealing Council brings in timed traffic restrictions during the school run.
At Fielding, drivers will be barred from entering the zone between 8.30am and 9.15am and again from 3.00pm to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, unless they are residents or hold a permit.
Twyford’s restrictions will apply on Twyford Crescent from 7.45am to 8.45am and 2.45pm to 4.00pm on weekdays during term time.
Notting Hill & Ealing School will operate closures from 8.00am to 8.45am and 2.45pm to 3.45pm, Monday to Friday, affecting St Stephen’s Road, Limewood Close and nearby junctions.
Ealing Council said the schemes form part of its Healthy Streets initiative and said that most pupils already walk, cycle or scoot to school, with car use down sharply since 2018. It plans to have 50 School Streets in operation in 2026 up from 17 in July 2022.
