Public voting has opened for the 2026 Smiley Charity Film Awards, with a film from Contact Ealing among more than 500 charity entries competing for national attention.
The short film, Contact Ealing: On the side of families with disabled children, features local parents and their children talking about the support they have been given by the charity.
Contact Ealing says it has been helping families in the borough with disabled children over the last four decades.
Nicolas Loufrani, founder of the Smiley Movement, said: “Every vote helps amplify a cause that might otherwise go unheard.”
The organisers say entries cover issues including mental health, homelessness, disability inclusion and animal welfare.
Voting closes on 31 January 2026, with the awards ceremony scheduled for March 2026.
