Indian restaurant group The Crossing expands to Ealing

An Indian restaurant group with locations in Paris and Nice is coming to Ealing, just weeks after opening its first UK site in Leeds.

The Crossing Indian Bistro will open at 5–6 The Green in Ealing Broadway on 5 October 2026, with diners being offered 50% off food during a 10-day soft launch until 15 October 2026. Its official opening will follow on 16 October 2026.

The Crossing will become the latest restaurant to occupy the Ealing Green site, which has seen several changes in recent years.

Carluccio’s previously occupied the premises before closing in 2020, with Italian restaurant and cocktail bar Meadow opening there in 2021. China Bistro subsequently took over the site, opening its first UK location there in October 2025 and serving Indo-Chinese food.

The Crossing opened its first UK restaurant in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, last month (August 2026) and also operates in Nice and at the Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris, having originally started in Dubai.

Chef-founder Ankur Chakraborty said: “This opening marks a new chapter and an opportunity to share our love for Indian cuisine with Ealing.

“We’re bringing India’s diverse food culture to life through its ingredients, traditions and techniques, with dishes inspired by stories from across the country.”

The menu draws on regional Indian cuisines and includes Railway Lamb Curry, Alleppey Prawn Curry and Madras Mutton Pepper Fry, alongside vegetarian dishes and smaller plates.

From 26 October 2026, The Crossing will also offer a £15 lunchtime thali, with a choice of main curry served with basmati rice, zeera aloo, saag makai, raita, dal, pickle and tandoor bread.
