Wolf Fields Primary School in Southall is to expand its nursery provision as part of a new London-wide programme to increase access to childcare.
The school is one of 34 across the capital which will provide additional places for children from September 2026.
Ministers say it is intended to improve childcare availability and support working parents, with eligible families able to access funded provision.
The expansion is targeted at areas where access to childcare has been limited and where costs and availability have been cited as challenges for families.
Ealing Southall MP, Deirdre Costigan said: “The good news just keeps on coming for Ealing Southall. This is going to help local parents make ends meet and make the cost of childcare cheaper for everyone.”
Prime Minister Keir Starmer said: “These new school-based nurseries will make a real difference for families across London – cutting costs, simplifying daily life and giving children the best possible start.”
Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson added: “By targeting new nursery places in the areas that need them most, including across London, we are making sure more families can access high-quality early education close to home.”
