British Transport Police are appealing for help to identify a man after he allegedly tailgated through the barriers at Acton Main Line station before following a passenger to a nearby shop and slapping him in the face.
The incident happened at about 6pm on 19 July 2026 when the man allegedly shoved a man in his 50s to force his way through the station ticket barriers.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to trace, believing he may have information that could assist their investigation.
Officers said he followed the victim to a nearby shop, where he allegedly slapped him in the face.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to text British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 498 of 19 July.
