Metropolitan Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer after recovering class A drugs and cash in the Morrisons supermarket car park in Acton.
Officers from the South Acton neighbourhood team detained the man last Wednesday (11 March 2026) after identifying a group believed to be linked to drug use in a corner of the car park. South Acton police constable Dave Loveday said the individual drew attention to himself while attempting to avoid officers and was subsequently searched.
A quantity of drugs was initially found concealed in his mouth. Further searches uncovered more than 60 wraps of suspected class A substances along with around £550 in cash.

The arrest followed a patrol involving local officers and a newly assigned constable on his first shift in the town centre.
Police said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt street-level drug dealing and make the area less attractive to offenders. Officers added they are continuing to target suspected drug activity in Acton and urged residents to report concerns.
Police are urging anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour, or has information that could help, to report it by calling 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, people should call 999.
