A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a 31-year-old man was stabbed with an axe in Acton Park, the Metropolitan Police have said.
Officers were called to the park at 5.29pm on 2 April 2026 following reports of an altercation. They found the injured man on a footpath with a stab wound to his back and gave first aid until paramedics arrived.
Adam Abdillahi, 45, of Australia Road, W12, was arrested a week later (9 April 2026) on suspicion of attempted murder. He was charged the following day and appeared at Ealing Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded in custody.
The victim was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
A second man, aged 44, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on 4 April 2026 and later bailed.
Detective Inspector John Gillespie said: “Our thoughts remain with the man and his family as he continues to receive medical treatment.”
He said the incident happened near a busy main road, tennis courts and a mini golf course, and appealed for anyone who witnessed what happened or captured footage on a phone to contact police.
