A 26-year-old man from Ealing has been jailed for 18 months for supplying Class A and B drugs following a police operation in Brighton.
Hamza Adanir, of The Green, Ealing, was stopped by Sussex Police officers on mobile patrol in Sillwood Street in February (22 February 2026) after they became suspicious of his behaviour. Police saw a member of the public flag him down before the pair briefly entered a nearby property, with Adanir re-emerging alone seconds later.
Officers detained and searched Adanir, finding a quantity of drugs and cash in his possession. He was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
Police recovered a mix of substances including cocaine and ketamine, both Class A drugs, as well as cannabis, a Class B drug, and a sum of money believed to be linked to drug dealing.
Adanir was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 24 February 2026, where he pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Lewes Crown Court on 24 March 2026.
