A suspected drug dealer has been arrested near Ealing Common station following complaints from locals about increased drug activity in the area.
Officers from the Ealing Common and Hanger Hill neighbourhood policing teams were carrying out targeted patrols last week (2 April 2026) following concerns raised by local residents and businesses. Police said a man was spotted loitering behind a bus stop on Uxbridge Road before attempting to evade officers.
When approached, the suspect crossed the road into Leopold Road, where he was pursued on foot. During the chase, officers saw him discard an item into nearby bushes. A subsequent search recovered 18 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin, along with more than £350 in cash. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, as well as possession of cannabis.
Further searches carried out in custody uncovered a larger quantity of uncut crack cocaine and heroin, in addition to a further £330 in cash.
Following an investigation involving phone analysis and interviews, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges for possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, and possession of cannabis. The suspect was remanded in custody to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.
Sergeant Ashley Love, of the Ealing Common and Hanger Hill neighbourhood policing teams, said: “A huge thank you to all residents who raised concerns, I hope we have demonstrated we are committed to making our ward a safer place.”
