A man in his 40s has died after being struck by a car driven by a 20-year-old man on the A40 slip road at Northolt’s Target Roundabout on Sunday (7 June 2026) afternoon.
Police, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance were called to the scene shortly before 5pm after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a blue BMW M4.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision is believed to have happened at about 4.30pm.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while uninsured. He remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Fiaz Janjua, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the victim of this tragic incident.
“As we try to build up a full picture of the incident, we want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant information, particularly CCTV or dashcam footage.”
