A long-standing Post Office in Acton Vale has been expanded to include a new Morrisons Daily, with Ealing Central and Acton MP Dr Rupa Huq cutting the ribbon at the launch earlier this month (5 September 2025).
The branch at 125–127 The Vale, W3 7RQ, is run by Dewan Zaky Hasan Ashrafi, who has operated the Post Office there for several years. He has now redeveloped the site to incorporate a Morrisons Daily convenience store alongside the postal counters, offering residents an expanded range of groceries and household staples while retaining a trusted community service.
Morrisons said it was “delighted to welcome Dewan and his team at Acton Vale to the Morrisons Daily Franchise family”, highlighting the opportunity to bring “a bigger, better convenience range from a well-recognised brand – ensuring great value and quality, right on the doorstep”.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Dr Huq said: “Delighted that new life has been breathed into an old favourite as Acton Vale Post Office is revamped with a mini Morrisons including bakery, meal deals and frozen food as well as everyone’s larder favourites to supplement the three post office counters.”
Dr Huq added: “I’m really impressed at the clean modern look of the place, it’s revitalising Acton Vale and it shows business confidence in Acton that such a major high street chain is moving in giving Tesco some competition.”
Morrisons has been rolling out its Daily stores across the UK, working with independent retailers and franchisees to increase its presence in neighbourhoods and on busy high streets. The format is designed to combine the convenience of smaller shops with the supermarket’s fresh food and branded ranges.
