The Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Hitesh Tailor along with Walpole ward Councillor Grace Quansah has officially opened The Write Trail, a month long writing festival taking place in venues all across the borough this month.
Funded by Arts Council England, The Write Trail is the brainchild of academic Dr Poonam Madar and previously took place in 2022.
Among the activities taking place this month are creative writing workshops, spoken word open-mic, word-themed scavenger hunt and an introduction to screenwriting.
Dr Madar said: “As a lifelong West London resident, I’m proud to celebrate the rich tapestry of the written word in all its forms across Ealing and its thriving multicultural communities.”
Dr Madar added: “With an incredible line-up of online sessions, enriching in-person workshops and family-fun events, there really is something for everyone and I am incredibly grateful to Arts Council England for making this important and worthwhile initiative possible.”
