Five-day Ealing Book Festival confirmed for 2026

Ealing bookworms can begin planning ahead after organisers confirmed that the 2026 Ealing Book Festival will run from Wednesday 29 April to Sunday 3 May.

Now entering its third year, the festival is expanding to five days and will bring together acclaimed writers, emerging voices and local talent for a mix of talks, panel discussions, workshops and family activities.

Events will take place at University of West London and, for the first time, at the nearby Questors Theatre, a move organisers say will allow for greater capacity and more varied programming.

This year’s festival, which ran from 24 April to 27 April, attracted more than 1,900 visitors across 24 events and organisers hope to build on that momentum.

Catherine Jaquiss, chair of Ealing Book Festival, said the 2026 edition was already taking shape. She said: “After setting West London abuzz with another incredible celebration of stories and ideas earlier this year, we are ready to write the next instalment. To date, almost 3,500 people have attended Ealing Book Festival events and the 2026 festival promises to be another vibrant celebration of books and writing in all their dazzling forms.”

The 2025 festival featured a strong line-up including Hanif Kureishi, Elif Shafak, Andrew O’Hagan and Tracy Chevalier. Organisers say they intend to continue attracting leading authors while expanding outreach work with local schools to inspire young readers.
