More than 200 artists will open their doors to the public across Ealing this September as the Borough of Ealing Art Trail (BEAT) marks its 10th anniversary.
The annual event has grown significantly since the first trail was held in September 2016, when around 130 artists exhibited at 54 venues. It now regularly attracts more than 200 artists each year, while organisers estimate more than 7,000 people visited the trail in 2025.
This year, work by artists and makers will be displayed at 68 venues across the borough over two weekends, on 5–6 and 12–13 September 2026, with a new midweek evening opening taking place on Wednesday 9 September.
Venues range from artists’ homes and studios to community centres, churches and other public spaces, with painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, photography and jewellery among the work on show. Entry is free and much of the artwork will be available to buy directly from artists.
BEAT project manager Zoey Chang told EALING.NEWS: “Open Studios provides an opportunity to speak with the artists and see the process behind the finished artwork.
“The huge range of art on show means you can find anything from a small gift to a piece for a large wall, or just enjoy the spectacle.”
She said the trail had also helped give artists, particularly those starting out, an opportunity to exhibit their work in a supportive environment.
“BEAT has raised the profile of local art and artists to the benefit of the whole community,” she added.
This year’s programme will also include a special exhibition in aid of Ealing Foodbank.
The trail is open from 11am to 6pm on 5–6 and 12–13 September 2026, with the midweek opening running from 6pm to 9pm on 9 September 2026. No booking is required.
