A man has been charged with drug supply offences after police said they found 47 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin during a three-day plain-clothes operation in and around Ealing Common earlier this month.
Officers from Ealing Common Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out the operation on 10 September, 12 September and 13 September 2026 following reports of suspected cuckooing and drug activity in the area.
On 10 September, officers visited several addresses which police said were linked to suspected cuckooing and drug activity.
Their inquiries then took them towards the border with Acton, where two men were detained near Woodlands Park.
Police said one of the men was found carrying 37 wraps of crack cocaine and 10 wraps of heroin. He was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin and was remanded to appear in court.
Plain-clothes patrols continued on 12 September, when a woman was stopped while consuming drugs outside St Matthew’s Church.
Police said she was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and issued with a Community Protection Notice aimed at preventing further anti-social behaviour in the area.
Later that day, officers arrested another woman who police said was wanted for breaching a court order.
The operation continued on 13 September, when officers saw a man heading towards what police described as a known drug-dealing location on Hanger Lane.
Police said he briefly met a suspected dealer on a bicycle before heading back towards Ealing Common.
When officers detained him, police said he resisted and was taken to the ground before being searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Three wraps of heroin were found in his possession.
Police said the man admitted the offence and a postal charge for possession of Class A drugs was being prepared, after which he would be given a court date.
Across the three days, police recorded two arrests and carried out five stop and searches, four of which resulted in items being found. Officers also issued one Community Protection Notice and submitted an intelligence report relating to suspected cuckooing and drug dealing.
Sergeant Ashley Love, of the Metropolitan Police’s Ealing Common and Hanger Hill neighbourhood teams, said on Met Engage: “A good few proactive days Policing and we are hopeful this will follow with a decline in Anti-Social behaviour in and around the Common.
