It’s just a kick to the left as Hanwell Town unveils Rocky Horror-inspired kit

Hanwell Town FC is hoping its new third kit will get people talking after taking inspiration from cult musical The Rocky Horror Show.

The Southern League club, which plays at the Powerday Stadium in Perivale, will wear the eye-catching kit during the 2026/27 season after teaming up with the rights holders of the stage production. Available in red-and-black and yellow, the shirts feature The Rocky Horror Show branding..

The idea came about through a longstanding relationship between a member of Hanwell Town’s committee and Andy Leighton, managing director of the companies responsible for aspects of the musical’s image and music publishing rights.

Chairman David Iddiols said: “We wanted to create something that would excite our existing supporters while introducing Hanwell Town to people who may never previously have encountered the club. We hope people love the shirt, but more importantly, we hope some of them discover Hanwell Town and become part of our story.”

Director and head of marketing Elsa Jones said the club felt the musical’s themes of individuality, inclusivity and fun were a good match for Hanwell Town and hoped the shirt would appeal to football supporters, theatre fans and collectors alike.

The shirt is available to pre-order from the club’s online shop, with worldwide shipping available.
