A new Ealing wine club has held its first major tasting evening, with local guests voting Southern Italian wines their favourites.
The Ealing Wine Club hosted its “Northern Italy vs Southern Italy” wine and food pairing event at Friendship House in Ealing Broadway last week (22 June 2026), where six wines were matched with Italian gourmet dishes.
The club, which launched last month (May 2026), said the evening attracted strong interest from local residents and it is already planning future events.
Vice-president Cav. Valeriano Drago said: “Following our club’s launch back in May, this was our first proper tasting and pairing event, and I’m pleased to say it was a great success. I noticed a lot of interest from the local community, and I’m confident this will translate into many new memberships for the club.”
Guests voted wines from Puglia and Sardinia as the evening’s favourites.
