Three public consultations on new zebra crossings in Hanwell and Chiswick are currently under way as Ealing Council seeks feedback on proposed road safety improvements in the borough.
Two of the consultations are in Hanwell. One involves plans for a raised zebra crossing outside Andre Malraux School on Bordars Road. Ealing Council said the scheme is intended to improve safety for pupils, parents and pedestrians travelling near the school. The consultation closes on 9 June 2026.

A second Hanwell consultation concerns proposals to upgrade the current uncontrolled crossing on Greenford Avenue, between Cuckoo Dene and Kennedy Road, to a raised zebra crossing. The council said the aim is to make the crossing safer, particularly for schoolchildren and other vulnerable road users, by introducing a clearer pedestrian-priority crossing that is better understood by drivers. The consultation also closes on 9 June 2026.

The third consultation relates to plans for a raised parallel zebra crossing on Southfield Road in Chiswick, between St Albans Avenue and Strauss Road. The route falls within the Ealing Council part of Chiswick and the scheme is aimed at improving pedestrian access and road safety in the area. The consultation closes on 10 June 2026.
