New Italian wine bar and pantry opens in Hanwell

A new independent Italian wine bar and speciality food store serving imported wines and artisan products from Italy has opened in Hanwell.

The launch of 23 Hanwell Coffee & Wine Bar and The Italian Pantry was held at 23 Church Road on Saturday (16 May 2026).

Foodies can buy a range of Italian pasta, olive oils and truffle products alongside wines imported from across Italy.

Owners Celestino Greco and Emilio D’Orsi said they wanted to create a new food and wine destination centred around Italian hospitality and community.

Gianni Ferrari, chief executive of The Italian Pantry, said the project aimed to help smaller independent Italian producers reach customers in London.

He said: “The Italian Pantry is built on a simple but powerful idea — making the finest Italian products accessible in London, while giving small Italian producers a real and effective presence in one of the world’s most competitive markets.”

The Hanwell site is the fifth Italian Pantry location in London, with plans to expand further across the capital.
