Ealing Council 2026 elections: Polls closed, votes being counted

The polls have closed and votes are now being counted at Ealing Council headquarters in Perceval House after residents across the borough cast their ballots on Thursday (7 May 2026) to decide who will run the borough for the next four years.

130 polling stations across Ealing’s seven towns — Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall — were open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday (7 May), with all 70 council seats across 24 wards up for election.

Labour went into the election as the controlling party on Ealing Council, holding 56 seats. The Liberal Democrats held eight seats, Conservatives four, while two councillors sat as independents.

A record 367 candidates contested this year’s election across the borough’s 24 wards, up from 264 in 2022. The figure is the highest number of candidates standing in any London borough during this year’s local elections.
