British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak in connection with an assault on a Piccadilly line train in west London.
The incident is reported to have taken place just after midnight on 26 February 2026 on a service travelling between Acton Town and Osterley. Officers said a man was acting aggressively and directed homophobic and racist remarks towards a young woman on board the train.
A fellow passenger intervened to assist the woman, at which point a fight broke out between the two men. Police said the intervening passenger sustained minor injuries.
The man at the centre of the incident left the train at Osterley Underground station.
Officers have now issued an image of a man they would like to speak to, saying he may have information that could assist their investigation.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information that can help their investigation.”
