Police step up patrols after North Hanwell burglaries

Residents in North Hanwell have been warned to be vigilant after two burglaries were reported on Greenford Avenue and Milton Road earlier this week.

Police said two addresses were targeted on 19 January and 20 January 2026. No one was injured and an investigation is under way.

PC Karim Panesar of the Metropolitan Police’s North Hanwell Safer Neighbourhood Team said burglary had been raised as a concern by local people through a priority survey, and officers would be increasing their presence in the area.

PC Panesar said: “North Hanwell SNT are looking to conduct evening patrols to help tackle this issue and we will be doing reassurance patrols along both streets in the coming days.”

Residents are being urged to review home and vehicle security. Police also asked the public to report any suspicious activity which can be reported online or by calling 101. In an emergency, people should call 999.
