What’s On at ActOne: November 2025 Highlights from Acton’s Community Cinema

In November 2025, ActOne Cinema presents an extensive selection of films, live Q&As with filmmakers, comedy, live music, and favourite community events.

Showing in November:

  • The Mastermind: Starring excellent Josh O’Connor, The Mastermind is Kelly Reichardt’s latest offering, set in a sedate corner of Massachusetts circa 1970, where an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief plans his first big heist. When things go haywire, his life unravels.
  • Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere: Jeremy Allen White stars alongside Stephen Graham, Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young in this electrifying chronicle of Bruce Springsteen on the precipice of megawatt stardom while recording the Nebraska album.
  • Frankenstein: Dr Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist, brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation. Guillermo del Toro commands a brilliant cast of Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz in his reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic.
  • After The Hunt: A college professor (Julia Roberts) finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student (Ayo Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light.
  • Bugonia: Two conspiracy-obsessed young men (Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis) kidnap the high-powered CEO (Emma Stone) of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
  • Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc: The unmissable sequel to a hugely popular TV series, this is an epic-scale anime adventure about a brutal war between devils, hunters and secret enemies.
  • The Choral: Yorkshire, 1916. A choral society’s male members enlist in World War I, leaving the demanding Dr Guthrie to recruit teenagers. Together, they experience the joy of singing while the young men grapple with their impending conscription.
  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: A petty criminal fakes insanity to serve his sentence in a mental ward rather than prison. He soon finds himself as a leader to the other patients—and an enemy to the cruel, domineering nurse who runs the ward. Miloš Forman’s Oscar-winning drama celebrates its 50th anniversary.
  • Love + War: A Pulitzer Prize-winning conflict photojournalist, Lynsey Addario, reflects on a career working in some of the world’s most dangerous war zones, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  • Dragonfly: The story of two neighbours who strike up an unlikely friendship, not always to the approval of others around them. A genre-defying haunting drama of lonely city living.
  • Palestine 36: In 1936, as Palestinian villages revolt against British colonial rule, Yusuf navigates between Jerusalem and his rural home, amidst escalating unrest and a pivotal moment for the British Empire. Written and directed by Annemarie Jacir, this is Palestine’s official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards.
  • The Running Man: A deadly competition where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. Desperate for money to save his sick daughter, Ben Richards (Glen Powell) is convinced by the show’s ruthless producer to enter the game as a last resort.
