An 18-year-old man from Perivale has been jailed for sexually assaulting four women over three days on the London Underground in 2024.
Hadi Al Koumi, of Bideford Avenue, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court last Friday (12 September 2025), to four years and eight months in prison. He pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual assault and was found guilty of a further offence following a British Transport Police (BTP) investigation.
He was also given a six-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
The court heard how the assaults began on 6 August 2024 at St John’s Wood Underground station, where Al Koumi crouched behind a woman in her 30s as she boarded a train and assaulted her before fleeing.
Two days later, on 8 August 2024, he struck again at Green Park station, assaulting another woman in her 30s. When she turned to face him, he walked away — before looking back and winking at her. Less than two hours later, at East Acton station, he targeted a woman in her 40s who was distracted by her phone, approaching from behind and assaulting her.
Later that same day, around 11.15pm, a fourth woman in her 30s was assaulted on a train between Greenford and Perivale. After she twice asked him to leave her alone, Al Koumi persisted and then attacked her. The victim managed to throw a glass at him as the train doors opened and escaped, calling 999.
CCTV captured Al Koumi during all four offences. His image was circulated across the network and on 27 August 2024, BTP officers spotted and arrested him at Perivale station.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Nolan said: “Al Koumi took deliberate advantage of the rail network in order to assault multiple women for his own sexual gratification.
“He’s clearly a dangerous predator who has exhibited a disturbing and abhorrent pattern of offending towards women, so I’m grateful to see the sentencing handed down today, and I hope it can bring some sense of closure and comfort to the women he targeted.
“There is zero-tolerance for sexual offences on the rail network, and we have uniformed patrols and specially-trained plain clothes officers on patrol at stations and on trains around the clock to keep the travelling public safe. We will continue to do everything in our power to bring offenders like Al Koumi to justice.”
