Southall-based police officer charged with sexual assault while off duty

A Metropolitan police officer based at Southall Police station has been charged with two counts of sexual assault relating to different women.

Acting Sergeant Martin Wylie was charged on 8 July. The charges concern alleged incidents in a bar on 12 April, while he was off duty.

The Met said: “The alleged incidents took place in a bar on Saturday, 12 April this year, while the officer was off-duty.”

Wylie was suspended from duty following the allegations. He is due to appear at Wimbledon magistrates court at 2pm on 3 September 2025.

The force confirmed its directorate of professional standards, which oversees officer conduct, has been informed.
