With the 31 July 2025 deadline fast approaching, Ealing Wildlife Group (EWG) is reminding photographers across the borough to submit their best nature images for the ninth annual Wildlife Photography Exhibition sponsored by Ealing Council.
Open to both amateur and professional photographers, the competition celebrates the beauty and biodiversity Ealing’s green spaces. Entrants can submit up to three photographs taken within the borough, each accompanied by a short personal description sharing what the image means to them.
Images captured on smartphones as well as those from professional cameras are welcome, with organisers encouraging all levels of experience. A panel including EWG volunteers, park rangers and professional photographers will judge entries based on both visual impact and storytelling.

Six categories are open this year: Beautiful Ealing, Abstract Nature, Urban Nature, Relationships with Nature, Up Close and Personal and Young Wildlife Explorers for those under 16. First, second and third place will be awarded in each category, with one overall winner celebrated at the exhibition launch.
Sandra Adar, fundraising officer and photo exhibition project manager, told EALING.NEWS: “Ealing Wildlife Group run the Wildlife Photo Exhibition every year to showcase the amazing wildlife and nature to be found in the borough. It’s for photographers of all levels as the story behind the photograph means just as much to us as the technical aspects of the image.”
Ms Adar added: “We really look forward to this event in our calendar and there’s always lots of interest and excitement from people using the park as we start setting it up.”
The winning images will go on display at The Rickyard in Walpole Park from 4 October 2025, where they will remain on weatherproof boards for public viewing throughout the autumn.
