Trailfinders Women have gone down under to sign Australian rugby talent Haidee Head from Queensland Reds Women in time for the forthcoming 2025/26 Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) season.
The 21-year-old is known for her versatility, having played across multiple positions, and has recently shone as an openside flanker. Her background in sevens rugby has equipped her with excellent ball-handling skills and a dynamic all-round game, making her a valuable asset on the field.
Head featured in the 2023 Super Rugby Women’s Final for the Reds against Fijiana Drua, underlining her ability to perform at the highest level.
Speaking on her move, Head said: “This is a huge opportunity for me to test myself in a new environment. The PWR has a reputation as one of the best women’s comps in the world, and I can’t wait to get started and rip in.”
Trailfinders Women head coach Barney Maddison added: “Haidee is a real talent, and at such a young age, she has the potential to grow into a top-tier player. We’re looking forward to working with her and seeing how she develops with us.”
