Ealing Broadway’s Metro Bank will be marking International Women’s Day with a free early evening event aimed at bringing together local business women from across Ealing to network and connect.
Guest speaker at Thursday’s (6 March 2025) event, which is on from 5pm-7pm, is restaurateur Vivian Papasotiriou from Yakaya Restaurant in nearby Dickens Yard.
Ms Papasotiriou’s restaurant is inspired by her Greek grandmother’s recipes and she will be speaking about her own personal experiences and becoming an entrepreneur.
The Metro Bank evening leads up to the actual International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025 which is celebrated globally to mark the contributions and achievements women make economically, socially, culturally and in politics.
Ealing Metro Bank local business manager, Meshgan Osmani said: “Everyone is welcome to come along and attend this celebratory event. As a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, we actively support women in business and we are looking to celebrate International Women’s Day in all our stores.
Ms Osmani added: “We’re committed to supporting women with access to tools, resources and finance and supporting them in the three key areas they struggle with namely networking, funding and mentoring.”
Metro Bank in Ealing is located next to Ealing Broadway Station at The Townhouse, The Broadway, Ealing, W5 5JN.
