Following the opening last October of the Colin Bryant Centre at West Ealing’s Sherwood Close, Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of housing association giant Clarion Housing Group has launched a job club for locals.
The job club, open every Monday from 1pm-4pm, provides a range of help and support services including an employment advisor offering guidance on developing and improving CVs, how to apply for jobs and improving skills.
The Colin Bryant Centre, managed by Nucleus Community Action, is part of the Sherwood Close regeneration project being delivered by Clarion Housing Group in partnership with Ealing Council which will see 362 new homes delivered of which two thirds being affordable.
Victoria Whittle, head of jobs and training at Clarion Futures, said: “We know that often people face a wide range of barriers to finding work, and that’s why job clubs like this one are so important, providing personalised advice and support.”
Ms Whittle added: “The drop-in sessions are open to all local residents, not just those living in Clarion homes, and we’re hoping to see lots of people coming through the doors to help kickstart their job search.”
