Metro Bank branches in Ealing and Southall are to open earlier on Saturday from 1 February 2025 following what it calls a “demand for extended Saturday times”.
Currently the branches are open from 11am – 4pm and the new hours will be 9:30am – 4pm which it says is the longest opening hours for any high street bank.
Current Monday to Friday opening times of 9:30am to 5pm remain the same and there are no plans at present to re-open on Sunday which it previously offered.
Taran Ruprah, Ealing Metro Bank store manager, said: “Customers wanted more time on Saturday mornings and we have listened and responded. We have extended when we are open for our customers’ convenience and benefit giving them more time to meet and talk through any of their banking needs face to face with one of our colleagues.”
