A Hanwell mum of four children with special needs has launched a crowdfunding campaign to establish a juice bar that will help provide life skills and training for people with disabilities.
Elaisha Bedasee, who has a son who attends special needs St Ann’s School in Hanwell, says her juice bar will also be a community hub and training facility for people with disabilities and provide an “opportunity for individuals to change the trajectory of their lives.”
Her crowdfunding target is £4,500 which will help to lease a property and purchase equipment.
Ms Bedasee said: “My experiences have taught me that individuals with disabilities will always face challenges in their lives. With that understanding, I realised that I needed to take better care of myself while providing support for my children, who depend on me.”
Her fresh fruit and vegetable juices project has been something all her family take part in with her children taking a keen interest in making them as well as gaining life skills at the same time.
Ms Bedasee added: “People wanted our juices, and most importantly, my older children were learning money management, how to interact with others, and so much more. This is what’s needed for us, our community, and all the caregivers who are struggling to find themselves.”
“This juice bar will not only serve fresh products but also offer a purpose, and an opportunity for individuals to change the trajectory of their lives.”
