With the General Election happening on 4 July 2024, voters across the country and in Ealing Southall will get the opportunity to have their say on who they want to govern the UK and represent them locally.

Ealing Southall has been represented by Labour’s Virendra Sharma in 2007 following a by-election triggered by the death of MP Piara Khabra.
Mr Sharma stood down on 27 May 2024 and Ealing Council deputy leader Deirdre Costigan was chosen as the new Labour candidate to contest Ealing Southall in the General Election.
At the last election in 2019, Mr Sharma had a majority of 16,084 over the Conservatives.
