Hanwell’s Explorer Scouts is looking for more leader volunteers to support its work in helping boys and girls aged 14 to 17 with a range of activities they do.
The Explorers offer young people in the local area over 200 activities which range from hiking to paddle sports, global issues to archery and pioneering to zorbing and say there is something for everyone but they need additional volunteers to help lead.
Volunteers need to be over the age of 18.
One volunteer, Diogene explained why he helps. He said: “I give my time so that more young people can have incredible experiences, whether it’s climbing or on an overseas trip. Helping them achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award and seeing them learn and develop new skills is also very rewarding.”
